Our research includes: theoretical study and simulations on interactions of ultrafast lasers with atoms, molecules, matters and living organisms, and ion beams for cancer treatment. We are one of the world’s top-runners, most notably in the first-principles simulation of atoms and molecules irradiated by high-intensity femtosecond and attosecond lasers.

Ishikawa Laboratory welcomes post-doctoral researchers from all over the world, especially those who have worked on the areas of AMO (atomic, molecular and optical) science, laser-matter interaction, quantum chemistry, TDFFT (time-dependent density-functional theory), Monte-Carlo simulation in medical physics.
