Dr. Takeshi Sato, Project Research Associate at Photon Science Center, received AY2014 "Promotion of Engineering Research Award" by Foundation for the Promotion of Engineering Research on March 3rd, 2015. Congratultions!  

We convened the 1st Rare Event salon (workshop), "Limits and views of transition state theory" at the University of Yamanashi, Japan.  "Rare Event" is a collective term for phenomena that seem common and everyday events from human viewpoints, but extremely rare and sudden transformation of molecular structure on a timescale of moleculer motion.
